Thollot's repair studio is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments allowing us to repair precious and alternative metals like the metals used in eye-glass production.
One such machine is our laser welder. Laser welding allows precious metals and many other alloys to be joined together without the use of solder or torches. Laser welds are strong and can weld metal in areas which are difficult to access with traditional joining technologies.
Because this is a relatively easy repair for our expert artisans, most attempts at eye-glass repair are successful. In the event that the metal in an eye-glass frame will not weld, we do not charge for the attempt.
